By choosing the College of Social Sciences, you’ll not only choose from a diverse group of programs such as Mass Communication, Nursing, and Pastoral Studies, and disciplines such as Counseling, Criminal Justice, Liberal Studies, Political Science, and Sociology, but you’ll also be choosing a college touted as a leader, singled out for excellence as one of the Great Schools for Communications Majors and Great Schools for Journalism Majors by the Princeton Review in 2008.

Political Science student honored for outstanding academic achievement
Amye Green was honored by the Department of Political Science with the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award for a student majoring in Political Science on May 10, 2009 in the College of Social Sciences annual awards ceremony.

Political Science graduate practices healthcare law
James Kovota, A'91, L'94, is an attorney with Sullivan, Stolier & Resor in New Orleans, where he practices healthcare law. Kovota has worked for the firm since 1994.
